Well it’s taken quite a few experiments but I have finally come up with a Slimming World friendly brownie that doesn’t have the bitter after taste of sweetener.
Only 2.5 syns plus healthy extra B for all 4 brownies OR 2 syns per brownie
Mix 2 eggs, 35g oatbran, 3 tbsp sweetener, 1 tbsp cocoa powder and 2 tbsp of plain or vanilla yogurt.
Line a small shallow baking dish with baking parchment and pour in.
(I used two small tins 3 inches by 6 inches big).
Bake in the oven for 15 mins at 180 degrees C. Don’t be tempted to bake for longer or they will dry out.
Allow to cool on a rack and then enjoy!
Brew 2 chai tea bags in 200ml boiling water. Allow to brew for 20 minutes, remove tea bags and mix with 300ml skimmed milk and 5 tbsp sweetener.
Weigh 100g risotto / short grain / pudding rice into a deep baking dish and place a cinnamon stick on top. Pour milk tea on top of the rice.
Place in a 200 degrees C oven for 20 minutes. Then remove the cinnamon stick and bake for another 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and then serve topped with pomegranate seeds.
Syn free using skimmed milk as healthy extra… or 6 syns for the entire recipe.
Spray 6 cupcake cases with frylight.
Place an oreo cookie at the bottom of each cupcake case.
Then mix in a bowl 250g quark, 1tsp vanilla, 2tbsp sweetener, 1 egg and 3 oreos crushed up.
Spoon the mix on top of each of the 6 oreos in the cupcake cases.
Bake at 170 degrees for 25 mins. Remove from the oven and allow to cool, refrigerate and then carefully peel of cupcake cases…. ENJOY!!
ONLY 4 SYNS EACH
Sometime diet cake just wont suffice!
So here’s a great recipe for those occasions with syns calculated.
150g self raising flour
100g caster sugar
4 tbsp oil
75ml skimmed milk
100g cooking chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
Put the chocolate through a food processor till finely grated. Set aside.
Mix the flour and sugar together and then stir in the milk, oil, egg and vanilla. Lastly add the chocolate and the blackberries.
Divide between 8 muffin cases.
Bake in a 180 degrees oven for 25 minutes. Then remove from the oven, allow to cool and enjoy!
12 syns per muffin
(The whole recipe is 100 syns… so for example if you stretch it out to 10 muffins they they are 10 syns each).
Mix 35g oats with 2tbsp sweetener, 1 tsp of vanila and half an egg.
Press a third of the mix into a silicon cupcake case. Press around the sides of the case to form a cup shape.
Then bake in a 180 degrees oven for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Then fill with yogurt and top with fruit.
Syn free using oats as healthy extra or 2 syns per tart.
